Originally ordered a 3-bay 7.5 m long booth for structural steel coating. As production grew, a fourth bay was installed on-site in 59 minutes — taking the booth to 10 m — no downtime, no trades, no rebuild.
Increased order volume meant the existing clean-room booth was at capacity. One additional bay added another 2.5m to the length of their Clean room allowing 2 jobs to be completed simultaneously.
When new machinery changed what Mobicon needed to produce, a large facility was no longer justified. They moved to a smaller, more efficient premises — and ordered a right-sized Rollabooth to match. Leaner operation, lower overheads, same output quality.

Liners That Last — Not Go Dark
Competitors use clear PVC liners with no base cloth weave. After just 2 years, overspray buildup combined with factory fallout and airborne contaminants makes them so dark they become uncleanable. The plasticisers harden over time, the liner deteriorates under its own weight, and without a base weave, tearing and cracking are inevitable.
Rollabooth uses heavy-duty white reflective PVC with a reinforced base weave. It stays bright, stays clean, and stays intact — job after job, year after year.
Built-In Lighting — No Illegal Workarounds
As competitor liners darken, operators are forced to wheel external lighting rigs inside the booth to compensate — equipment that is not rated or compliant for use in a flammable vapour environment, creating a serious fire and safety risk.
Every Rollabooth features a fully integrated LED lighting system — all lights are external, shining through protected Haraoka Clear Weave windows — dual laminate with a solid scrim inside that prevents any form of tear or rupture — into the booth interior. No exposed fittings inside the spray environment, no safety compromises, no workarounds. Up to 800 lux of inspection-grade light, built in from day one.
Compliant Interior Surfaces — The Law Requires It
Many retractable booths on the market have internal frame members exposed inside the booth — and that makes them non-compliant. AS/NZS 4114:2020 and OSHA 1910.107(b)(2) both mandate that spray booth interior surfaces must be smooth, continuous, and free of edges to prevent overspray accumulation and reduce fire risk. Internal frames create pockets that trap flammable residue — a serious safety and compliance issue.
Rollabooth's proprietary tracking is screwed to the underside and inside of the frame, so the liner sits flush against a completely smooth interior surface — smooth to the touch, impervious, and fully compliant with both Australian and American standards. Whether it is a mega defence project or a small mum and dad business in the local industrial suburb, everybody gets the same great compliant Rollabooth system.
Proprietary Fixing System
Other systems hang their liners over internal frames or use methods that cause tearing, limit upgrades, and create non-compliant interior surfaces — problems that can't be solved without a complete redesign.
Our proprietary tracking is fixed to the frame itself, keeping the liner tight and the interior walls perfectly smooth. Adding extra bays to increase booth length is fast and simple — no tears, no downtime, no compliance issues.
